Calligraphy is a religious art of islam. It’s a very old art form of islam, and they want to preseve it. Therefore they are very strict about rules and regulations.

Calligraphy is very important in islam. And they want to preserve it without alteration and any changes. And if you want to learn Arabic calligraphy you have to follow all their rules and regulations.

Or you can also join online courses for it. But it’s less effective then. You can learn a little bit from the internet, but there are not many free resources available to learn.

I personally tried to find resources from the internet, but I didn’t find much information about it. Learning from practice classes is the best way to learn Arabic calligraphy, but if you are really serious about it. 

If you want to do it as a hobby,  you can buy a small course on the internet and be dependent on free resources. But I may clear you, you are going to make so many mistakes and not expect to be good enough.

And if you are very serious about it or want to take it as a profession and want to be best in it. You can get a degree in it. Some Colleges offer study about Arabic calligraphy.

That’s why I suggest having an experienced and knowledgeable person to learn Arabic calligraphy. He will  point out your all mistakes and help you to correct them.

Arabic calligraphy is written from right to left, the same as the Arabic language. Some people may suffer to understand and write from right to left.
