Is Calligraphy ink safe for tattoos? But I didn’t find the straight and full answer anywhere, so I decided  to write a helpful post for it. And provide others a straight and full answer easily. 

Is calligraphy ink safe for tattoos? It is not safe to use calligraphy ink for tattoos, because it is not hygienic and the particles in calligraphy ink can get in your skin and it looks like a permanent bruise. So it is not recommended to do so. It can also get upto reaction, allergies or infection.

Is Calligraphy Ink Safe for Tattoos? 

Calligraphy ink is not safe for tattoos. 

Actually you can do this crazy thing. You can use calligraphy ink for tattoos, because it is non-toxic. And hopefully non-allergenic also. But it is not recommended at all. 

It is recommended that You should not use calligraphy ink for tattoos. Even though it is non-toxic and may not harm you.

But Calligraphy ink is designed for pen, to use on paper, and run smoothly on it, so it’s a liquid ink and it gets dried quickly. 

On the other hand Tattoo ink is specially formulated for the particular purpose of being injected into the skin and creating tattoos. The ink contains particles that are completely non-toxic. 

The particle of the correct size does not get migrate through the skin, able to be sterilized, and be resistant to fading.

Both ink is made for different purposes and their properties are different. Therefore you shouldn’t do it. 

Most calligraphy inks are made from pigment and a binder. Pigment molecules are typically linked together in a crystalline structures. that are 0.1–2 µm in size and comprise 5%–30% of the ink volume.

So because of those particles your tattoos will look like a bruise. And will look ugly. So even if you do it, it will not be good for you.

Also the calligraphy ink will be unhygienic for skill, So it is not a good idea to use it on our skin. Tattoo ink is made under hygienic conditions to use it on skin, but on other hand calligraphy ink doesn’t. It is made for the purpose of writing on paper. 

So using calligraphy ink for tattoos isn’t safe. Even though it’s not toxic but is not safe for you. 

Can I use Calligraphy Ink for Tattoos?

Yes, you can practically use calligraphy ink for tattoos. But I’ll suggest that you do not use it for tattoos. 

Because even after you use calligraphy ink for tattoos it will look very ugly. It will look like a permanent scar because particles are included in that ink. 

The calligraphy ink is made for using on paper properly so it holds a different formation of particles. 

Also it is unhygienic to your skin. Also it gets dried quickly. 

Tattoo ink is made to be injected into your skin so it is very hygienic. And also not harmful at all. 

If you use calligraphy ink it will look like a scar and ugly afterwards. So do not use it for tattoos.

Is Calligraphy ink safe for stick and poke? 

Calligraphy ink is not Safe for stick and poke . 

If you ever need to stick and poke atleast get a new quality tattoo ink and noodles. Also clean the skin area with alcohol before you do anything. 

Don’t be unhygienic and dirty. It will not be good for you. And never use calligraphy ink for stick and poke.

The formation of particles in calligraphy ink is made for writing on paper so it gets dried quickly. Hence it is a very bad idea to use it for stick and poke.

If you or someone used calligraphy ink for stick and poke and want to know how long does it going to stay o your skin, then it will going to stay on your skin for 6-10 years.

Does Calligraphy ink Work for Tattoos?

Calligraphy ink does work for tattoos. You can practically use calligraphy ink and make tattoos with it. But please don’t ever do it. Because using calligraphy ink for tattoos is a very bad idea. The ink is not toxic but because of chemical compounds the ink will get dried quickly and will look like bruises.

You can use calligraphy ink rather than tattoo ink. And the machine will work normally as it is. And you are able to make a tattoo with it. 

But the main problem is that the ink is meant to be written on paper. Therefore it’s very unhygienic. And also chemical compounds of both ink are very different, therefore the calligraphy ink will get spread around and look like a permanent scar afterwards.

And I should warn you, the calligraphy ink will not get erased afterwards. It will stay there for 6-10 years.

So it will stay there on your skin for 6-10 years and look like a scar. Therefore it’s a terrible idea to use calligraphy ink for tattoos. But the machine will work normal.

Reasons why you shouldn’t want to use calligraphy ink for tattoos

  • It is very unhygienic.
  • It looks like a permanent scar afterwards.
  • The particle formation in it is designed for writing on paper properly. So it gets dried quickly.
  • The particle can get into your skin.
  • Calligraphy ink is not made for injecting your skin so it’s held in a different formation of particles and will look ugly on your skin.

Is Calligraphy Ink Toxic? 

Is Calligraphy ink toxic? No calligraphy ink is not toxic or Poisonous. But even though it is a bad idea to use calligraphy ink on skin for any purpose. 

Because the ink made under an unhygienic environment and also the particles it holds can look ugly on your skin. 

So it’s not a good idea to do. 

How Long Does Calligraphy Ink Last on Skin?

If you used calligraphy ink for tattoo or stick and poke, it will stay on your skin for 6-10 years. It will last on your skin for 6-10 years.

You can’t use calligraphy ink for tattoos. It is not safe. It will be unhygienic and it will look like a permanent bruise. 

And it Is not a good idea to use calligraphy ink for tattoos.
